This policy explains what information buyurself.com (“we”, “us”) collects and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Information you give us: your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter, and your name, email, and message if you contact us.
• Usage data: when you click a link to Amazon we count the click (which product, which page, your country, and device type). We do not store your IP address or anything that identifies you personally.
• Saved items: products you heart are stored only in your own browser, not on our servers.
• Technical data: like every website, our hosting and security providers briefly keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.

Cookies and affiliate links

When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may place a cookie on your browser to attribute any qualifying purchase to our site. Amazon's use of that data is governed by Amazon's own privacy notice. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site: Supabase (database and email for our team), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), and Microsoft Azure (hosting). They process data only to provide their services to us.

How long we keep data

• Click counts: 13 months, then deleted automatically.
• Newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days.
• Messages you send us: as long as needed to answer you, then deleted on request.

Children's privacy

buyurself.com is intended for adults in the United States. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your privacy rights (including California)

Depending on where you live (for example California, under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don't sell or share personal information, but you can make any request by contacting us; we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Do Not Track

We don't track you across other websites. Because there is no common standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, we don't respond to them differently; Amazon's handling of them is described in Amazon's privacy notice.

Security

The site uses HTTPS everywhere, and access to our systems is limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, or ask us to delete your data by contacting us.
